pre-operative care

Before your breast reduction procedure you will need to have a consultation with the surgeon performing the reduction surgery.

This is the time to consider the size and shape you desire. Be sure to discuss your expectations and what a realistic outcome might be for your situation.

Insurance concerns should also be discussed as some insurers will only cover breast reduction surgery that they consider to be “non-cosmetic”.

This is the time for a thorough physical examination. You will need to be in a reasonable state of health before any surgery can take place.

Photos should be taken at this time as a reference point, a medico legal document and for any insurance purposes.

Before your consultation it is a good idea to write down any questions you have in general so you can get them out of the way early on in the process.
