Dr Guy Hingston MBChB FRACS Breast Surgeon

Breast Reduction surgery at the North Coast Breast Centre is offered under the care of Dr Guy Hingston. Guy has acquired extensive experience in breast reduction surgery, having performed this operation now for over 10 years.

Guy completed his Royal Australasian College of Surgery Fellowship back in 1997 and has since sub specialised in breast and laparoscopic surgery. He became a full member of the Breast Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1998 while the Fellow in Breast Surgery at St Marks Breast Centre in Auckland, New Zealand.  While at St Marks, he gained a large amount of breast reduction experience which he still draws on today. He then pioneered the technique of sentinel node biopsy in breast cancer in New Zealand and then went on to Glasgow as the Lister Fellow at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to further his work in breast surgery.

He subsequently returned to New Zealand where he spent four and a half years as a Consultant Breast Surgeon in Masterton and Wellington. After receiving an invitation to join the specialist team in Port Macquarie, Guy decided to move with his family to the North Coast and opened the  North Coast Breast Centre in October 2003.

The Breast Centre is now a busy surgical clinic operating up and down the North Coast of New South Wales catering for a large number of women who need breast reduction surgery, as well as many other breast health needs of women of the North Coast.
