This magnificent watercolour was presented to Dr Guy Hingston by one grateful woman, six months after her operation - without Guy being aware that it was being painted.

The non-commissioned artwork portrays a journey. It visually takes you from the faceless, low self esteem and poor body image that a lot of women with large breasts have through to the perioperative phase depicted with fresh surgical scars. Finally a beautiful whole woman emerges being changed, happy and complete.

The artwork nicely captures the metamorphosis that occurs and the tremendous improvement in quality of life that women enjoy following a bilateral breast reduction.

Guy has successfully operated on over one thousand women and continues to enjoy helping them go through this transformation.
