During the procedure you will be under a general anaesthetic, and looked after by trained, registered and experienced surgical, anaesthetic and nursing staff.

All operating theatres used meet stringent quality and infection control procedures.

21st Century intra-operative monitoring equipment is used to maximise your safety while you are asleep and being operated on.

Sterile Surgical drapes, equipment sutures and gloves are all used to minimise the risk of infection.

Adverse intra-operative events are now extremely rare.
